Wedding Photography in Canterbury during Covid-19

Canterbury and Whitstable wedding photographer talks about 2020 weddings

These are uncertain times for everybody and we’ve all no doubt all had our share of disappointment about events we were looking forward to being cancelled. So just imagine having to postpone and reschedule your wedding day.

The sheer amount of time, effort, emotion and money that goes into planning a wedding means that its sudden cancellation and postponement is particularly heart breaking.

On top of that couples have had to suffer the stress of learning that their wedding insurance doesn’t necessarily cover them for the Coronavirus pandemic. This often means that they are having to rely on the good will of their wedding suppliers when rescheduling their weddings.

Whitstable and Canterbury wedding photographer offers reassurance to couples rescheduling their wedding!

As a busy Kent wedding photographer my 2020 diary was full with bookings for Canterbury and Whitstable wedding photography. I am pleased to confirm that I have spoken with all of my booked couples over the last few weeks. The conversations gave me the opportunity to reassure them that all of their bookings will be rescheduled without them incurring any additional costs. In addition to that I have confirmed that I will not take the final balance until their new wedding day has been confirmed. I just hope other wedding suppliers are being as flexible.

Like all industries, the wedding industry has taken a knock in this time. So, I think its important that we all demonstrate as much flexibility as we can in helping these couples reschedule their wedding day. So that they can get back to enjoying planning their special day as quickly as possible.

How a Canterbury and Whitstable wedding photographer gets through lockdown!

Like everybody else I find myself having to come up with strategies for getting through this lockdown period. I am taking a well-earned rest interspersed with lots of cycling.

I have also done lots of long overdue DIY and gone into de-clutter mode and finally got around to sorting through my photograph albums. (Whitstable and Canterbury wedding photographers are as bad as everybody else at staying on top of this stuff!)

Whatever your strategies for getting through this unsettling time do remember to be kind to yourself and remember that there will again be things to look forward to. Maybe even a wedding!

If you’ve had to reschedule your wedding and your original Canterbury and Whitstable wedding photographer is unavailable on your new date feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear about your wedding plans.
