Confetti Wedding Photography

The English word confetti comes form the Italian word confectionery of the same name. Confetti was thrown during carnivals, such as a small sweet. The Italian confetti (coated almonds) are given at weddings and during a baptism.
They are given out at a wedding to signify fertility in marriage.
At the end of the 19th century we adapted the adapted the traditional sweet throwing by using shreds of paper.
As a wedding photographer i love a confetti shot. I make sure it is on the bride and bride grooms to do list.
I either present two lines of guests for the happy couple to walk along, whilst being showered in the confetti.
Alternatively i allow the guests to gather around, especially if some of the guests find it difficult to walk.
