Portrait Photography and Family Portrait Photography

When it comes to shooting portrait photography and family portrait photography, I always strive to capture the expressions, personality and the mood of the people I photograph. In order to achieve this my clients have to be comfortable and relaxed.

Couples Portrait Photography

Couples portrait photography is increasingly popular and many people now choose to have an engagement or pre-wedding shoot. It is a great way to get used to being photographed. Many of my clients say that they feel uncomfortable being photographed or that they don’t like pictures of themselves. A pre-wedding or engagement shoot can address these concerns and put you at ease. I have photographed thousands of people and can give you tips on how to relax in front of the camera. Previous clients have used these images on their wedding invitations and thank you cards.

Family Portrait Photography

Many of my former wedding clients come back to see me once they have had a family. It’s lovely to keep that connection with them. Most of my family portrait photography is done on location and, being a Kent-based photographer, I know all the best places. When it comes to family portrait photography, I find that if I engage families in play it enables them to relax in front of the camera. This helps me to produce natural shots, capturing their quirks, smiles and expressions and personality.

Portrait Photography in Canterbury

I love shooting portrait photography in Canterbury because its medieval centre, with cobbled streets and timber-framed houses, provides me with a fantastic backdrop.

Portrait Photography in Whitstable

Shooting portrait photography in Whitstable is always a treat. This pretty seaside town has a bustling bohemian air about it, with numerous art galleries and sea-food eateries. Whitstable Castle also has spectacular grounds that are ideal for portrait photography.

Portrait Photography in Margate

There are so many things I like about shooting portrait photography in Margate: the sandy beach, the cobbled streets of the Old Town and the dramatic cliffs of the Thanet coast.

Portrait Photography in Dover

With Dover’s world-famous white cliffs, cliff-top walks and breath-taking views, it’s no wonder it’s considered to be an area of outstanding natural beauty.
